First thing I asked Jen was "can I cheat?" Not that I don't have plenty of vintage paper, I just don't like to actually use it. Something about it being old and only having one, I'm afraid of ruining it or wasting it on the wrong project. It's neurotic, I know, but I feel protective of it. So printing the paper onto inkjet fabric was the perfect solution. Not only did I get to sew with my favorite vintage ledger papers, flash cards and labels but I didn't have to sacrifice one scrap of actual paper in the process.
I've got to give a shout out to Shahnnen on this one. Her generous gifting of a terrifically tacky 80's woodgrain and gold-foil folio stuffed with old school office supplies made this project. Thanks for kicking down the good shit!
