North Shore, Oahu taken with the Yeti, aka my Instax Mini
The view from the front and back yard, Oahu also taken with the Yeti.
We went to Hawaii in April for a week, lucky enough to stay with friends who were vacationing for the month. The house was insanely fabulous and tucked up close to the mountains on the wet side of the island. Being just a few weeks before the end of LOST, with the mountains shrouded in misty rain clouds, I couldn't help but feel like we were on "the island" too.
We actually flew from LA to Honolulu with a few cast members. I spotted Rose and Bernard sitting a few seats away from us in the boarding area and later Shannon and Libby in line. This was just days after the Hugo/Libby episode and I was all fired up about how love was "saving" everyone in the alternate world. After getting on the plane I started to regret not saying anything to her, kicking myself for being "too cool." As we're walking off the plane there she was again, walking down the ramp right next to me and still I didn't say anything. I was overwhelmed by her fantastic shoes (crazy gladiator shootie wedges) and her french pedi. To be honest I was feeling frumpy and awkward in my my cons/black polish and was too busy wondering 'do you have to grow your toenails out longer to get french tips?' to say anything.
When she walked past me one last time in baggage claim I tapped on her shoulder and said "excuse me, I don't mean to invade your privacy, I just wanted to tell you how much I loved last week's episode and I thought you were great and I love LOST and I'm going to miss it when it's over... and I can't wait to see how it ends." All in one breath, sweating, nervous as hell and most likely stuttering. And you know what she did, she HUGGED me and said thank you. One of those awww, you're so sweet hugs.
So yeah, Libby hugged me.
gah. LOVE this story. glad you had fun! (i so miss hawaii...)

i am severely opposed to french pedicures. toenails should never get long enough to warrant one...
cute story though! ;)
